Anonymous German of the 18th century Augsbourg School “Der Drache zu Babel” Original burin engraving in the style of the Vues d'Optique printed and published in Augsbourg by the Académie Impérial after 1755, as can be seen from the inscription engraved at the end of the low margin "Se vend à Augsbourg au Negoce commun de l'Academie Imperiale d'Empire des Arts Liberaux", as part of the series entitled "Collection de Prospects". Beautiful specimen on eighteenth-century laid paper, with margins of different sizes beyond the imprint of the slab, small spots and minimal other defects at the edges but overall in excellent condition, enhanced by the bright coloring typical of the Optiques. Bibliography: Alberto Milan "Journey through Europe through the Vues d'Optique" Milan 1990 pag.23. Measurements in mm: 330 x 435
